Harry was extremely excited and even slightly nervous about Ginny staying over at his little home. He spent the day before cleaning and tidying and making the house seem generally less boyish for her.
He knew there was no point in making plans, because as soon as she arrived Harry knew they would just cuddle up on the sofa, put some background TV on, and talk late into the night. The strange part would just be that he wouldn’t have to take her home at the end of the night. They could cuddle up in his bed, and fall asleep with her in his arms. There was nothing more exciting to him than this.
She arrived at his house and they did exactly what Harry had predicted. Just cuddled up on his sofa talking about everything.
“I could really see myself living here, Harry,” Ginny told him, late into the night.
“I would absolutely love that,” Harry replied eagerly, knowing that he’d welcome Ginny with open arms. After spending so much time at Hogwarts and then on the run with Ron and Hermione, his little home was starting to feel just a bit like the Dursleys – a little lonely.
They spent the night cuddled up together under a blanket, and eventually decided to move to bed and get some sleep. Ginny was training with the Holyhead Harpies the next day, and Harry was at work, so they needed some sleep. Harry smiled at Ginny across his bedroom, knowing that he should now get used to this.
And when they woke up in the morning, and Harry turned and saw Ginny Weasley fast asleep in his bed, he knew he didn’t want to spend any more nights without her.
